About Me
Course: Fashion Fundamentals: Collection Creation
This course is specially designed for teenagers who want to explore the world of fashion. Over the course of 2 months, participants will learn essential sewing and pattern-making techniques, and they will have the opportunity to design and create their own fashion collection.
Course Details:
Duration: 2 months (16 sessions, twice a week)
Location: In-person course in Doral
Stating Date: June 10th
Course Content:
Month 1: Basic Sewing and Pattern-Making
Introduction to basic sewing tools and techniques.
Practice with sewing machines on various fabrics.
Fundamentals of pattern-making, measurement, and creation of simple patterns.
Month 2: Collection Development
Conceptual design and material selection.
Development of final patterns and fabric cutting.
Construction of the collection pieces.
Final finishing and adjustments.
Preparation and final presentation of the collection.
Course Objectives:
Develop creative and technical skills in sewing and fashion design.
Foster self-confidence and self-expression through creative projects.
Introduce young people to potential careers in the fashion field.
